Special Purpose Nozzles: Design Methods and Applications

 This book summarizes the basic achievements  in the research field of serpentine nozzles, three-axis vectoring nozzles, and single expansion ramp nozzles, in order to provide theoretical basis and technical support for the application of special types of nozzles in aviation engines under different task requirements. It is based on the research results of the Jet Propulsion Theory and Engineering Research Institute of Northwestern Polytechnical University, combined with the latest research status. It is a valuable reference for scientific and technological personnel in related technical fields, and convenient for readers to have a deeper understanding of the basic knowledge and theory related to special-purpose nozzles, and to help carry out relevant design and application research.

Zhanxue Wang is a professor at the School of Power and Energy, Northwestern Polytechnical University. His research interests include overall design and multidisciplinary optimization of aircraft engines, and design and optimization of  new exhaust systems.
