The sixth edition, corrected.Bound in full calf.Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece and twenty-four monochrome plates including many folding plates. Collated complete.This work features Mr Humphrey's study on natural history, intended for the 'minds of the youth' with sections on insects, plants, terrestrial animals and more. The work is accompanied by copper plates depicting a host of creatures. Bound in full calf. Externally worn with joints weak and boards held by cords only, marks to the boards, bumping and rubbing to the extremities and cracking to the spine with loss to the head and tail and to the head of the spine label. Front free endpaper disbound but present with a bookplate belonging to 'Edward Holden' to the front pastedown and offsetting to the extremities of the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with age toned pages and loss to the heads of the pages to pp. 313-315, an ink inscription to the front blank and the odd spot, closed tear and tidemark. Good Only.
