1743 6th edition hardback bound in full leather. Illustrated with 32 copper plates, of which 31 are fold out and depict flora and fauna but also the construction and launch of a galleon, fishing vessels and coral fishing. An extraordinary production for such an early volume. Ex pencil price mark otherwise clean interior with all pages tight in binding. Seams have split but string hinges still holding and boards still attached. One plate has small chink missing to bottom margin. Leather covers rubbed as befits age.
