Therefore, the identification and structural determination of trace metals in naturally occurring minerals and plant materials by spectroscopic techniques is one of the main objectives in solid state spectroscopy. In the present investigation, attempts have been made to identify and characterize the trace transition metal ions in minerals and plant materials using elemental analysis (EPMA, ICPMS, and CHNS) and selected spectroscopic methods (Mőssbauer, EPR, Optical absorption, IR and Raman studies).
