Speculative Poets of Texas Volume I: S. P. O. T.

Texas is known for a lot of things, most of them big, wild, and with a country, barbeque flare and a touch of spicy, Mexican flavor. Among all that is majestic about this great state are its tremendous poets, spectacular with western vernacular or Latin professorship. But then there are those few still among them who talk about the strange, the bizarre, the dark underbelly of myth and lore or of faraway lands or distant times and futures’ past in the skies over the former or later, Lone Star State. These Texas poets are those whose work does not always fit in or sit well among the ordinary things poets talk about in general. These bards are called Speculative Poets and these particular ones found within this anthology were either born in Texas or got here as quick as there imagination could get them. Writing abundant, speculative poetry and a strong Texas claim were the only two requirements to be included within. Join us here today, right now, for our first set of five Speculative Poets Of Texas (S.P.O.T.) with this first, large volume of hopefully more poetry anthologies to come. Read on as each poet takes you to places you might never venture on your own or perhaps to a fantastic place you wished you lived in instead of wherever you are in the real world. We, at The House Of The Fighting Chupacabras Press, hope you enjoy the heck out of these great, Speculative Poets Of Texas. We also hope you recommend this book to others as much as we have enjoyed gathering these poets together for your reading enjoyment.
