About the Author

Karon Luddy grew up in Lancaster, SC and lives in Charlotte, NC with her husband Tom. She is the award-winning author of the novel Spelldown published by Simon and Schuster and Wolf Heart, a book of poetry, published by Clemson University Digital Press. She has taught writing intensive classes at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte since 2005. She admits to having a contagion of feeling for writers, readers, and literature. In January 2014, Luddy created Backbone Books and became an independent publisher and author. Bewilderment of Boys is her second novel and a sequel to Spelldown, her award-winning debut novel.
