Item description from seller

65 pages of pure 1960s cookery. Some edgewear and rubbing of covers, interior fine. This blender was part of a larger history. The Osterizer name was introduced in 1946 and quickly became one of the most recognizable blender brands in North America. By the early 1960s, including around 1964, Osterizer blenders typically featured multiple speed settings, often three speeds such as “low,” “medium,” and “high,” allowing users greater control for blending, chopping, and pureeing. The 3-speed models of the mid-1960s were part of a broader evolution in blender design, moving from simple single-speed machines to more versatile appliances capable of handling a wider range of kitchen tasks. The 1964 Osterizer 3-speed blender represents a classic example of mid-century American kitchen technology. It combined multiple speed control, durable materials, and a powerful motor design. It was produced during a period when the John Oster Manufacturing Company was transitioning from a grooming-tool manufacturer into a major name in household appliances, shortly after its acquisition by Sunbeam.
