The Spirit of Jesus: A study of the Holy Spirit through New Testament Citations

This book examines the New Testament citations of the Holy Spirit "as a geologist roams about a site, putting together the pieces of evidence." The goal is "to recapture an experience of the Spirit." The faith underlying this work is stated early. "Sending the Spirit is not a myth, a legend or even a clever way of expressing a religious truth." For the author, Jesus’ sending the Spirit means "the human race has entered into the final age" which was "grasped by the first disciples as the decisive moment in all history." The writing is crisp, clear and popular. Although based on years of research, the reader finds no scholarly dullness. The words describing Jesus’ Spirit are easily understood by all.
