In the Ancient oral tradition they guide the novice along the true path to understanding of who she is and her place in the continuing life of their people. This is a wonderful look at the way knowledge has been passed from generation to generation with strong emphasis on what is good and what might trick the spirituality-seeking novice into taking a wrong path. Positive life is strengthened by the knowledge of the shaman, natural medicine, awareness of Mother Earth and the putting aside the unnecessary quest for things that don't matter, in order to enrich your soul. Beautiful music written and played by Rich Burness on the native flute adds just the right touch to these moving, motivating tapes. Audio is a particulary fine format for these messages, as the busy parent can "read" while doing something else. It is also a great gift for someone whose eyes and hands might have aged and have difficulty reading or even in holding a book.
