Khalil A. Khavari, Ph.D.,
Emeritus Professor of Psychology.
Professor Khavari and his wife, Sue Williston Khavari, are the authors of "Creating a Successful Family" (London: Oneworld Publications, 1989) and "Together Forever: A Handbook for Creating a Successful Marriage" (Oxford: Oneworld Publications, 1993).
He served on the Psychology faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 1967 to 1995 and was awarded the rank of Professor Emeritus upon his retirement in July of 1995. Dr. Khavari has also served as: research consultant to the U.S. Veterans Administration; research reviewer of "Psychobiology for the National Science Foundation"; field reviewer for the United States National Institute of Health. An author of over 100 professional presentations and publications, chiefly in psychology, Professor Khavari has served as referee, reviewer, and/or editorial consultant to a number of professional publications, including: "Science"; "Journal of Studies on Alcohol"; Journal of Abnormal Psychology"; "Pharmacology, Biochemistry, and Behavior"; "Psychopharmacology".
Dr. Khavari's work, since the early 1980s, has focused on conflict resolution, marriage and family life, spirituality and religion. He has lectured and presented workshops on these topics in North America and abroad.
