Spiritually Sound: The Worship Leader's Guide to a Technician's Heart

This lighthearted guide makes a great resource for worship leaders and teams, pastoral staff members, and as an encouragement to tech team members. The infamous “worship wars” most churches face at one time or another aren’t restricted to style of music or instrument choices, but often carry over to the sanctuary-wide divide between worship and tech teams. Bridging this relationship gap is one vital key to releasing true worship, which is so intrinsically tied to the heart attitudes of all who lead and serve. Don’t let the spirit of offense rule in your worship arts department, or it will rule your church. This guide can help you build and mend relationships, and create unity in the entire Creative Arts Ministry at your church. Full of practical training for the tech-novice and helpful checklists to a create positive environment both at practice and on Sunday mornings, Spiritually Sound is the kind of book you’ll want everyone on your team to read. Author Gregory Kayne has spent many years on both sides of the sanctuary, in the booth and on the platform, in addition to teaching audio at the nation’s first community college. He has been a clinician at the Christian Musicians Boot Camp (now called SELAH Worship Conference), been a break-out speaker at Iron Sharpens Iron and WFX, and is a co-founder of both the Chicago and Rochester Christian Songwriter’s Networks. spirituallysoundguide.tumblr.com
