Splashes of Ink

An idiomatic poetry book; a fine piece of literary art. The contents of this book can cause nuanced or monumental changes. A key definer of these pages is art - including visual art - as seen in the manipulated colour images throughout. In this tapestry of poems there is a thread that occasionally becomes visible - music. Music is a dear friend and companion, and has naturally made its way into some of my poems. These poems lend to the performing arts, and the ebook version includes audio and video links where you can see and hear me performing. All the recordings, virtually, include specially selected sequences of music.

Much of this book has been produced to the sound of Classical music from across the centuries. From pre Baroque to 20th century compositions, contemporary notated music from different eras has subliminally contributed to my output - not just the poetry, but also my visual designs. More information can be found at: www.michaelbobb.com where you can see my visual art ranging from geometrically abstracted images to straight photography. On this site there are also links to my video productions. Furthermore, samples of my poems can be viewed.
