x 478 pages, illustrated with 22 hand-coloured plates, a limited edition of 500 copies, publishers 2 tone green cloth, gilt vignette of horse and rider to upper board, light dust soiling to cloth. Sporting Repository was originally published as a magazine in 1822 and quite rare and was important for its fine colour plates. The plates are reproduced and coloured by hand, includes plates on Partridge Shooting Grouse Shooting, Gamekeepers, poachers, Greyhounds.
