Written by Joseph Strutt, an English businessman, philanthropist and social reformer who donated the land for England's first urban public park, Derby Arboretum. This scarce 1969 edition of the original 1801 text was enlarged and corrected by J. Charles Cox, and contains a preface by Norris and Ross McWhirter. In publisher's original cloth binding, with original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is in excellent condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
