Volume 1 with a photo frontispiece with tissue guard showing "The Marchiones of Worcester." Black and white plates. Volume 2 with an illustrated frontispiece showing "Punts Racing" with tissue guard. Black and white plates. The book includes chapters on Englishwomen and Sport - Fox Hunting - Hare Hunting - Shooting - Fishing for Tarpon - Archery - Golf - Croquet - Cruising and Small Yacht Racing - Women's Hunters - Salmon Fishing - Fly Fishing - Cycling - Fancy Figures and Musical Rides - Tennis. The two volumes are elegantly bound in green morocco spines with gilt tiles, gold titles, raised bands with gilt rules, and sporting devices in the panels. Green morocco corners and marbled boards with gilt rules. Matching marbled end papers in both volumes. A very nice set. A touch of rubbing the bindings, the spines have uniformly toned to a rich brown. Armorial bookplate in each volume. Very good.
