Grade 7-10-For unsophisticated mystery readers, Spring Break is a cotton-candy read-not filling, but certainly fun and frothy. Sans adults, five high-school kids and a dog rent a haunted house for a week. They must contend with a skeleton, mysterious music, odd appearances, even odder disappearances, arson, and a guilt-ridden asylum escapee who, though deranged, looks like Brad Pitt. This one will keep YAs turning pages to keep pace with the action and thrills.
