Spy Ride: Romance Shadows (Spy Ride II)

Life can be wonderful, fulfilling, romantic, and full of adventure, but when you work for the government, time has a way of running out.

Before I became an OSS agent, my life took many unexpected turns. I married early, left for a new chapter in my career, and eventually met Tom, a man who would change everything. Our work together blossomed into a magic I never thought possible.

This is my story. It is told as faithfully as possible through the words of my cousin, Pat Patterson. I hovered over his shoulder for every typed word, ensuring he saw the adventure through my eyes, because, after all, it is my story.

From my time as an OSS agent to the journey across the Pacific on the Green Dragon, a Berkeley-class destroyer that carried us out of Seattle toward the Territory of Hawaii, this is a life lived to the fullest. I even kept my first husband's name; I was simply too busy to change it back to Paine!

Join me as I recount a journey of service, romance, and resilience. Take pleasure in the adventure; I certainly did, and as you will see, it turned out wonderfully.
