2 Vols. Uniform tan boards, black titles on spine and front board, advertisements on rear board of each volume. Lower third of spine missing from part 1, lower 40% of part 2's spine is missing as well as a piece at the head of the spine and a couple of other chips. The bindings, however, remain intact and aren't particularly tender, despite the wear. Vol 1 is a stated Third Edition. Vol 2 is a stated Second Edition. Foxing throughout Volume 1, less in Volume 2, largely confined to the preliminaries. Not first editions, but it is very rare to see any of these early editions in their original bindings. Scarce. Size: 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall.
