Limited Edition, antique copy of "The Squire's Home-Made Wines as describ'd and set-forth in the Journal of Thomas Hoggson, Gent., 1765." "Decypher'd & transcrib'd, by Noble Foster Hoggson." This copy is a facsimile of the original, and was produced in 1924 by Pynson Printers in New York. Limited Edition - this copy is #940 of only 1,524 copies printed. Softcover. There are 37 numbered pages, followed by the limitation page. A label has been affixed to the front end paper stating "This Book presented by C.E. Merrill, Junr, on the August occasion, of The Get-Together Dinner, &c., etc., in honour of the Collected Book. On the Ev'ning of April 26th., In the City of New York, 1932." Here are some examples of the contents: Mead with Raisins; Madeira Wine; English Mountain Wine; Cherry Wine; Sweet Cyder; Frontignac Wine; Apple Wine; Ebulum; Gooseberry Wine.and more. Condition: Clean covers and spine. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. A small, thin, light stain appears at the lower-inner corner starting around page 17 and continues through to the 2nd to last end paper.the pages are otherwise clean. Page 22 has a small tear at the outer edge. Each cover has a tiny tear at the outer edge. A presentation label from 1932 has been affixed to the front end papers.
