Illustrated wraps. 96 pp, plus ads. Black and white illustrations throughout. Single issue of this magazine written for a juvenile audience. Of note in this issue is an article on intercollegiate football, including an outline of the rules, depictions of the field and various basic formations. Written by Walter Camp, an athlete, coach and writer known for his many contributions to the shaping of American football into the way it is played today. He has been called the father of American football. Also present is an illustrated article on coursing with greyhounds in California, a piece on a horse, illustrated by Frederic Remington, etc. GOOD condition. Minor toning, soiling and staining to the covers. Heavy chipping and tearing to the covers along the lower edge and spine. Minor toning and soiling in the interior.
