About the Authors

K. S. Mathew is a retired professor and head of the department of history at Pondicherry Central University. He has published 26 books and over 100 scholarly articles in national and international publications.

Antony Bungalowparambil, CMI is director of the St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara Archives and Research Centre, Mannanam, Kottayam, India. He is a scholar of the Syriac language.
