Stack-n-Pack is an interactive, small group activity designed to enhance mathematical understanding through multiple representations. Students use problem solving to connect mathematical ideas using multiple representations. The Stack-n-Pack games for grades 6-8 reinforce a variety of mathematical concepts including: number sense, integers, exponents, geometry, measurement, properties of operations, fractions, decimals, percents, and algebraic reasoning.

About the Author
Dr. Janie Cates is the K-12 Mathematics Coordinator for Douglas County Schools. She has 13 years of experience in public and private PreK-12 schools as well as post secondary education. Dr. Cates is also an adjunct professor at the University of West Georga where she teaches mathematics and mathematics education courses.
Dr. Jill Reddish is an associate professor of Mathematics Education at the University of West Georgia. She has 16 years of educational experience in both public and private PreK-12 schools. In addition to her duties at the University of West Georgia, she serves school districts throughout the southeastern United States as a mathematics education consultant.
