Stand By Me

This book is set up in a magazine format with articles and stories that appeal to upper elementary and middle school students. It is a collection of fiction and nonfiction stories and articles about the degree to which people stand by one another in times of need...a car accident engulfed in fire, trapped in an ice cave, friendship and adversity, teamwork-Trapped on Skull Island, etc. This book could be projected for whole group or small group instruction, used as a read aloud, or read independently for enjoyment. I'm including the Teacher's Guide with each book that includes the black line masters, strategy instruction, a project, and Before, During, and After notes for each article.
