Flight log book of Lt. Col. Charles Oliver Fikes (1935-2020), who served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years, at first as an aviation cadet in B-47s at Chennault AFB in 1955, and later as a B-52 pilot. He retired as a Lt. Colonel, and began a career with Eastern Airlines. He retired from Eastern in 1985. ; Documents every flight taken by Lt. Col. Fikes for Eastern Airlines, including his check out flight in the DC-9 from 5/3/1975 up to 8/20/1982 ; records aircraft identification marks, flight numbers for each flight, departure and arrival points, numerous remarks included for some flights particularly for specific individuals on board ; includes details of conditions of flights, records of hours aloft, reconstructions of Eastern flights, particularly out of Atlanta, possible using this highly detailed data. ; unique to this pilot, with thousands of hours as a military flier ; important.
