The Star Wars Roleplaying Game

This is the classic, 1996 copyright, D6 version of the Star Wars Roleplaying game. *Important: there are two different versions of the second edition. The 1992 version DOES NOT contain the latest/final version of the rules.* If you are interested in giving this game a try, you can do so as both a player and a GM with this one book. This one book contains pretty much everything both the player and the GM need to play. It begins with a "Player Section" that covers everything the player needs to know about creating and playing a character. The rest of the book is for the GM. There is also a starter adventure that pits the players against the fearsome Pirates of Prexiar and a detailed history of the Star Wars universe to help GMs design their own chapters of this epic saga.

The Star Wars Roleplaying Game plunges into the breakneck thrills and pulse-pounding excitement of the greatest science fiction adventure of all time. Game-players enter a universe of epic heroes, fearsome villains, amazing technology, and exotic aliens as they struggle against the awesome might of an evil galactic Empire, fly faster-than-light starships, trade blaster shots with stormtroopers, fight lightsaber duels against dark Jedi warriors, and tap the mystical powers of the Force. Players explore a galaxy of a billion suns, a universe of dire peril where Rebels fight desperately against Imperial oppression. In the Star Wars Roleplaying Game players will face overwhelming odds and impossible challenges. But if they meet them bravely, they will triumph, for the Force is with them! The Star Wars Roleplaying Game features simple rules that keep the action fast, capturing the spirit and excitement of the Star Wars universe; a solitary scenario that gets the game launched immediately; an action-packed starter adventure that pits the players against the fearsome Pirates of Prexiar; a detailed history of the Star Wars universe to help design original chapters for this epic saga in this newly revised and indexed second edition. -- Midwest Book Review
