Starshine: Aurora Rising Book One

A rift in space that shouldn't exist. A secret that can unite humanity, or ignite its destruction.

Alex Solovy is a lone wolf starship pilot with a talent for uncovering the hidden secrets of uncharted space. When she follows a hunch into a forbidden nebula and encounters a mysterious rift tearing the fabric of space itself, Alex stumbles into a conspiracy powerful enough to rewrite humanity's place in the universe-or erase it entirely.

Across the galaxy, Caleb Marano, a covert operative for the fiercely independent Senecan Federation, is chasing dangerous secrets of his own. When their paths explosively collide, Alex and Caleb must forge an uneasy alliance. Now they're the only thing standing between rival superpowers poised to shatter a fragile peace and ignite all-out war.

As shadowy conspiracies unravel and ruthless enemies close in, they must outmaneuver political betrayals, mysterious alien machinations, and their own deep-seated distrust in a desperate gambit to save civilization from destruction. The fate of humanity hangs by a thread-and no matter what happens, the galaxy will never be the same.

Starshine is the thrilling first novel in an epic space opera trilogy packed with heart-pounding adventure, unforgettable characters, and high-stakes intrigue. For fans of The Expanse, Mass Effect, Peter F. Hamilton, and Iain Banks, this electrifying journey through cosmic mysteries, galactic warfare, and the great unknown between the stars will keep you turning pages late into the night.

G. S. JENNSEN lives somewhere in the U.S., in a locale that may or may not be where she lived the last time she published a book (she's a gypsy at heart), with her husband and one or more dogs. She has become an internationally bestselling author since her first novel, Starshine, was published in 2014. She has chosen to continue writing under an independent publishing model to ensure the integrity of her stories and her ability to execute on the vision she has for their telling. While she has been a lawyer, a software engineer and an editor, she's found the life of a full-time author preferable by several orders of magnitude. When she isn't writing, she's gaming or working out or getting lost in the mountains that loom large outside the windows in her home. Or she's dealing with a flooded basement, or standing in a line at Walmart and wondering who all these people are (because she's probably new in town). Or sitting on her back porch with a glass of wine, looking up at the stars, trying to figure out what could be up there.
