Dr. Susan Jenae Kruszynski lives in Muskegon, Michigan, and is an art quilt designer, teacher, and gallery artist. At the age of 8, Susan's maternal grandmother handed her an embroidery project. That initiated her over 50-year experimentation with fabrics to produce colorful artistic creations. She began landscape fiber art design with collage art quilts in 2014. A native of Michigan, her works are often inspired by the trees and woodlands along the Lake Michigan shoreline. Susan currently divides her time between creating original collaged art quilt designs, teaching art quilting classes in and around the state of Michigan, marketing her fiber art at shows and exhibitions, and running her Quilting Fabrics in Time business; she only just recently retired from a job as a literacy specialist at Muskegon Community College. Susan uses her 40+ years of K–College level teaching experience and her Ph.D. in Education to provide fun and easy learning experiences in classes and with online instruction.
