He has written Starved for Affection, Father Memories, The Cain & Abel Syndrome, and the national bestseller Unlocking the Secrets of Your Childhood Memories (coauthored with Dr. Kevin Leman). Dr. Carlson lives in Tucson, Arizona, with his wife, Donna; they are the parents of three grown children.
