The book traces current emerging issues and challenges thereof being faced by the state administration in the country. About the Author:- U.B. Singh, MPA, Ph.D. (Human Resource Development), D.Litt. (Time Management) has been actively associated in teaching, training and research in Public Administration at theMizoram Central University, Aizawl and Lucknow University, Lucknow for more than three decades. He has been teachingDevelopment Administration; Administrative Theories; Principles of Management; and Local Government in the USA, the UK, France and India at the PG level. He was awarded fellowship under Colombo Plan at University College London, U.K.; and under the auspices of UNDP, an international programme on Planning & Administering Good Governance atAIT, Bangkok. He has to his credit more than two dozen books, authored and edited, and more than sixty research papers published in reputed journals and edited volumes. He has undertaken scores of research studies sponsored by Ministries of Housing and Urban Poverty, Urban Development, SocialWelfare, Agriculture, NCW, UGC, ICSSR etc. Dr. Singh is champion of urban governance and change management.
