Original maroon cloth binding with gilt text on spine and embossed text on front board. Spine ends frayed and rear hinge is partly torn, corners are exposed, and there is scuffing on both boards. Ownership information on top page edges and flyleaf, and notations in pencil on rear pastedown. Pages are tanned and a few pages are lightly marked in pencil.
