विश्वरत्न बाबा साहब डॉ॰ भीमराव अंबेडकर राजकीय लोकतान्त्रिक समाजवाद के प्रवल समर्थक थे। वह चाहते थे कि भारत का आर्थिक दर्शन राजकीय लोकतान्त्रिक समाजवाद पर आधारित हो। भारत की स्वतन्त्रता के बाद यहाँ की नीतियाँ इस प्रकार बने जिसमें सर्वहारा का हित सुरक्षित रहे तथा भारत की आर्थिक उत्पादन की योजनाओं में उनकी भागीदारी हो। भारत की स्वतन्त्रता के पश्चात भारत के प्रथम प्रधान मंत्री श्री जवाहर लाल नेहरु की अगुवाई में जो भी योजनाए बनी उनमें इसका प्रभाव देखा गया। बड़े बड़े भारी उद्योग सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र में लगाए गए और लगभग सभी बड़ी बड़ी संस्थाएं, उद्योग और सेवा के संस्थान राजकीय अथवा सार्वजनिक नियंत्रण में ही रखे गए। राजकीय समाजवाद राज्य व्यवस्था में ऐसी व्यवस्था है जिसमें पूंजी और उत्पादन के सभी साधनों पर राज्य का अधिकार होता है। एक ऐसी व्यवस्था जिसमें समाज में घोर असमानताएं न हों। वहां पर कोई शोषित और दलित वर्ग न हो। तो आइये यहाँ हम राजकीय लोकतान्त्रिक समाजवाद पर शोध करे तथा इस पर विस्तार से चर्चा करे जिससे सत्य से देश को अवगत कराया जा सके। सारे संसार में फैली खासकर भारत के संदर्भ में राजकीय लोकतान्त्रिक समाजवादी व्यवस्था के सत्य को सबके समक्ष लाकर इसके लाभ व हानि पर हम विस्तार से चर्चा करेंगे।
