The State of the Language

Minor creasing to edges of unclipped dustwrapper, minor bumping to spine ends of black spine strip and to corners of yellow boards, a bit of old damp-marking to boards, original owner's name and date (1980) on f/ep, but otherwise a good tight copy of this hard-cover book. A collection of essays by various authors on aspects of the English language as of (mostly) the late 1970s. A heavy book, packaged weight is over 1kg, so extra postage would be required from buyers outside the UK. 609pp. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
