State Responsibility in Disaster Management in India

The book highlights the various kinds of disasters threatening the golbe. It outlines the efforts made by the State in responding to the disaster to help build lives and put things back to normal. The book provides a glimpse of the National Legislation in force in India and the various authorities set up under the Act. It also enlightens those affected by diaster about their rights. It is hoped that more and more people would be inspired to help people and put lives on track in cases of disaster

Ranjana Ferrão is working as an Assistant Professor at V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar Goa. She has completed her LL.M from Goa University with specialization in Intellectual Property Rights and is currently working on her Ph.D. She is the State Trainer for Goa State Legal Services Authority.
