Terms of sale
For standard domestic postage we use the Royal Mail 48 hour Tracked service. If you selecte Expedited Postage your parcel will usually be sent via Royal Mail's 24 hour Tracked service. Please bear this in mind when ordering; if you are in a hurry for your order PLEASE LET US KNOW so that we can discuss options. All overseas orders are now sent tracked, to reduce the risk of their disappearing altogether, and postage rates have been increased to cover this.
Duck Cottage Books is owned and run by Christina Davies (VAT registration number GB 169759050), and is based at Duck Cottage, Starston Lane, Needham, Harleston IP20 9ND, UK. We can be contacted by email (sales@duckcottagebooks.co.uk). If you are not entirely happy with your book, return it within 30 days of receipt for a complete refund. If you are returning it because it was incorrectly listed or faulty in some other way then we will refund the return postage. We are happy to fulfill orders directly on behalf of other booksellers but please be aware that we do our best to make the nature of any sale clear to the end customer. Our usual practice when fulfilling third-party orders is to include contact information both for you (our immediate customer) and ourselves.
Shipping terms
Standard shipping terms:
Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs quoted are for books weighing up to 2 Kg (4.48 lb) when packed. If your book order is heavier than this, I may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. TAX on orders from the EU: our departure from the EU has left muddle and confusion for sellers and customers alike, but be prepared to have to pay the local rate of VAT when your book is delivered, and possibly other charges. We will do what we can to help but ultimately the customer is responsible for paying any taxes or other import charges. If you think we can help in any way, please contact us either before or after placing your order.
