Of Stations Infernal

In the untamed heart of steampunk America, the horrors don’t end at the frontier.

Inspector Vanessa Hargreaves has crossed the ocean―and several lines of sanity―in pursuit of a deadly secret. Still carrying the mysterious and catastrophic Cook Plague, she finds herself pursued by monstrous clockwork titans, haunted locomotives, and enemies cloaked in velvet and shadow.

Accompanied by her loyal automaton Alphonse, Vanessa must navigate a strange new land filled with cursed carnivals, sentient trains, and airship marauders, all while questioning whether she’s fleeing her enemies―or her own guilt. The further she travels into the wilds of the American frontier, the more twisted and deadly her path becomes.

As strange machines, supernatural threats, and forces beyond the veil begin to gather, Vanessa must decide where her loyalty lies: with her Queen, her conscience… or the growing belief that this New World was never meant to be tamed.

A darkly imaginative steampunk western full of plague-born peril, haunted wonders, and gaslamp suspense, in this final chapter of Lands Beyond.

Kin S. Law is a Chinese-American author who looks to include diversity, representation, and truth in his steampunk. Instead of a historical fiction where one event has changed things, his worlds represent what could have been, what should be, and what always was. He draws from a life lived in multiple cultures, but always with a love for everything weird and geeky. He lives in NYC.
