Statistics in Kinesiology

Statistics need not be complicated. This new edition of Statistics in Kinesiology is proof! It presents material in a way that is both easy to read and easy to comprehend. The book features a logical organization, simplified formula notation, and several new sections on the latest statistical techniques.

Statistics in Kinesiology, Second Edition, examines many statistical techniques commonly used in physical education, exercise science, and leisure studies/recreation. It leads you through a series of statistical concepts that build logically on one another. The easy-to-understand symbols used for the formulas let you concentrate on the concepts and their meanings rather than on confusing details and notations. Plus, a flowchart printed on the inside back cover helps you determine the correct statistical procedure for the data you want to analyze.

Author William J. Vincent has been teaching quantitative analysis and measurement and evaluation courses in kinesiology for more than 30 years. Because the examples he uses are taken exclusively from kinesiology and related fields, you’ll find it easier to understand the concepts and apply the statistical procedures.
