The Steam boat Association of Great Britain publishes a quarterly magazine, 'The Funnel', containing news, reports and , in particular, technical articles on all aspects of steamboating, from boiler design to tying knots. This book is a compilation of articles published in Funnel over the last 20 years, on the general theme of standards and safety, and is aimed at promoting the highest standards in all aspects of steamboating.
