Synopsis
Book by Saunders, Jan, Saunders, Janice S.
Reviews
While the checklists and charts are specific to the New Home sewing machine, the illustrations and text are similar to the other titles in the series (e.g., Saunders's A Step-by-Step Guide to Your Bernina , LJ 7/91). Following an introduction to the machine, which includes information for both the computerized and mechanical models, instructions on use and maintenance are offered through various sewing projects. New Home machines have almost a dozen standard presser feet and are capable of creating many utility, decorative, and embroidery stitches. As with the other titles in the series, machine owners will find the details on the attachments and numerous stitches to be invaluable. Public libraries' geographic proximity to a New Home distributor may offer a clue as to potential audience for this title. For additional sewing titles, see "Threading Your Way Through Sewing Books," Collection Development, LJ , February 1, 1991, p. 57-60.--Ed.
