Proclaiming the message of God in the language of Generation X, this book is filled with visually intriguing images and mentally stimulating nugget-sized teachings. Scriptures, power statements, and interactive fill-in-the-blank questions make this a practical application book that will bring you closer to your God and Savior, one step at a time.
All of the Christian life is built around a relationship with Jesus Christ. That relationship is a process that takes us one step closer to Him. We are never alone. He takes each step with us. His agenda is to make us better than ever. He wants to make our lives all good.
I spoke once at a juvenile detention center. While I was there, this guy came up to me and said that he liked my talk about the choices we make in life. I asked him, What is life about? He said, Freedom man. It s all about freedom. You do what you want to do.
To which I said, You know what blows my mind the most? When I m done here, I m the one who gets to leave.
The things in our world that promise freedom and individual rights, in reality imprison and restrict us. The enemy entices us with choices that seem harmless. He paints the Christian life as God s attempt to pull the plug on the party and keep us from the pursuit of happiness and all the prizes that go with the American Dream.
But the truth is that real freedom comes only from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and following Him. He created us, and only He knows what will bring us true fulfillment. He knows that everything else leads us to futile, fruitless emptiness and hollow dreams.
