Stephane Grappelli

Stephane Grappelli: Violin Play-Along, Volume 15 is a violin sheet music songbook featuring eight standards associated with the celebrated Parisian jazz violinist. Combining printed transcriptions with online audio, this focused collection is for violinists interested in Grappelli's music, jazz standards, individual practice, repertoire study, and performance.

The book includes the melody and lyrics along with access to online recordings. Players can listen to the recordings to hear how the violin part should sound and then play along with separate backing tracks. The enhanced audio also allows Mac and PC users to adjust the tempo without changing the pitch, providing flexibility when studying passages, exploring phrasing, refining timing, or returning to a favorite selection.

Across eight contrasting standards, the collection brings Grappelli's jazz repertoire into a practical play-along format. Familiar melodies and accompaniment tracks create opportunities to concentrate on musical expression and the relationship between the violin line and its backing, while the varied song selection helps keep repeated practice engaging. The inclusion of lyrics also makes it possible to sing along when desired.
