The Stepping Stones of Spiritual Maturity: Transformation of a Wayward Heart

The Stepping Stones of Spiritual Maturity explores our transformation when we bring our true selves before our Creator and the freedom resulting from choosing God's way. Interwoven with her own transformation story, author Angela Guy looks at how the Sermon on the Mount relates to and deepens the Beatitudes by describing them both as a cross-shaped path toward God's heart, and stepping stones to cross before we can continue along the path. Guy also explores the difference between who we are, compared to a righteous God in whom we learn to abide, and shows how our identity and worth are found in Jesus alone.

Endorsement:

Angie takes the richness found in God's Word and weaves a beautiful tapestry focused on the Sermon on the Mount. As she unravels these verses, she directs our attention to many valuable cross references and provides deeper understanding for the reader. I appreciate Angie's vulnerability, authentic heart, and her willingness to share the real struggles she has faced in her relationship with the Lord. She invites readers to search their own hearts. These pages have drawn me into a time of reflection, evaluation, and worship before the Lord. I urge readers to ask the Lord how to apply these vital truths in their own hearts and lives.
