Steps in Light (Seven Addresses) and Acquaintance with Christ (Six Addresses)

Undated c1930. Reprint (possibly first thus). [iv], 151pp. This is a collection of thirteen addresses was first published in 1887. The author, James Butler Stoney (1814-1897), was an Irish Brethren preacher and Bible teacher whose ministry spanned nearly 60 years. He was known for his deep, contemplative teaching on the person and work of Christ. The book is bound in the original brown cloth covered boards with gold titling on the spine and front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with some shelf wear to the boards and light bumping to the spine ends. The spine is slightly cocked. The contents are tight and clean with no inscription.
