Stereoselective Synthesis

A symposium on stereoeselective synthesis was organized by the Schering AG to honour Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. Rudolf Wiechert's 65th birthday and his achievements in over 30 years of successful medicinal chemistry research. The six plenary lectures by leading scientists are published in this book. The contributions highlight recent progress on diastereo- and enantioselective synthesis. Intriguing methodological work, synthesis of homochiral building blocks and elegant and highly efficient applications to the synthesis of stereochemically demanding target molecules are presented.
