This book provides a broad treatment of such sampling-based methods, as well as accompanying mathematical analysis of the convergence properties of the methods discussed. The reach of the ideas is illustrated by discussing a wide range of applications and the models that have found wide usage. The first half of the book focuses on general methods, whereas the second half discusses model-specific algorithms.

Please note that as of August 26, 2025, the German national carrier (Deutsche Post/DHL) will no longer accept shipments of goods to the United States, following the issuing on July 30, 2025, of the Executive Order "Suspending Duty-Free De Minimis Treatment For All Countries." For us as sellers, this removes relatively affordable shipping rates with published, fixed prices - we will be able to use commercial exporters instead, however, at this point (Aug. 22, 2025), neither prices nor capacity of these exporters are known at our end.
