Supplemental volumes: 1) Ireland 1 & 2, Denmark, Swedep. 2) Canada, Malta, Gibraltar. 3) South Tyrol, Around Lake Garda, The Dolomites. 4) Sicily, Genoa, A Drive Through the Engadine. All volumes with rubbing and moderate edge wear; sun-fading to spines. Some volumes are a little spine-cocked. Additional damage to Vol. 1: Piece torn from bottom of spine leather, spine-cracked. Vol. 3: small speckles on back. Vol. 9: damage to spine leather, mostly confined to back. Based on Stoddard's extensive travels throughout the world from 1874 to 1876, these lectures were very popular throughout North America, and periodically published in book form, eventually growing to 10 volumes plus 5 supplements.
