A two volume set in the publisher's original cloth binding. 18 plates to Volume I, 20 plates to Volume II and numerous further illustrations accompanying the text. Collated complete. Many are drawings by John Fulleylove (1845-1908), a landscape artist and illustrator. A comprehensive history of Paris, exploring significant figures such as Molière and Victor Hugo, and important events such as the French Revolution, with numerous illustrations. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally very smart, only very slightly bumped to the extremities and to the spine of Vol II. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed.
