Thomas Lodi, MD, MDH, is an enigma within the oncology community, often challenging the status quo. When he established the holistic cancer healing center, An Oasis of Healing, in 2006 in Mesa, Arizona, his alternative nutritional solutions for healing cancer were viewed as radical. Dr. Lodi pioneered an integrative cancer treatment approach for those unsatisfied with the customary modern cancer treatments. The foundation of his approach relies upon restoring the integrity of the immune system and organ function through detoxification and proper nutrition while utilizing a scientifically based integrative approach to targeting cancer which minimizes any harm to the patient. In addition to his integrative medical approach, he both teaches and provides training in lifestyle to modify the body's biochemistry and align the mind-body-spirit continuum such that malignancies and other chronic "diseases" resolve back into a healthy homeostasis. Dr. Lodi began his career as a master's level clinical psychologist and then went on to receive his medical degree in 1985 from the University of Hawaii. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Columbia University and worked for ten years as an internist, urgent care physician, and intensivist (ICU/CCU). Being dissatisfied with the allopathic approach, he acquired several years of additional training in nutrition and alternative modalities and then narrowed his focus to integrative oncology. In Arizona, he is licensed as a Homeopathic Medical Doctor by the Arizona Homeopathic and Integrative Medical Board while in New York he is licensed as an allopathic physician and surgeon by the State of New York, Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Lodi has completed a Fellowship in Integrative Cancer Therapies and a Fellowship in Anti-Aging, Regenerative & Functional Medicine. He sits on the Scientific Advisory Board for Immunogenic Research Foundation (IMREF), is an active-allied member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and he is the founder of the Institute of Integrative Oncology in Asia.
