STOPS NOW! revolves around specific strategic action plans aligned with concentrated approaches to solving complex problems associated with personal, professional and corporate development.
About the Author
Jamila Thomas is an author and motivational speaker. She is a native of Dallas, Texas and a graduate of Florida A&M University. She received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration and a graduate degree, Masters of Business of Administration (MBA). Additionally, she holds a Master of Arts degree in Religious Studies from the University of Chicago. Jamila co-authored a book named “The Ultimate Vision Experience: Encouragement for the Visionary." Jamila has always been emphatically involved in organizations and activities that uplift the world community. She has traveled the world to places such as Africa, Germany, Austria, England, Jamaica, Bahamas and Italy. Jamila was also an advocate for Mother’s Against Drunk Drivers, known as MADD. She spoke in Washington, D.C. on the steps of the United States Capitol on behalf of 400 youth delegates to garner support for the mission and vision of MADD. Jamila has served on a number of boards. Most recently she served as the Campus Outreach Director on the national board for PAVE “Promoting Awareness and Victim Empowerment”, and was a 5 year board member for the YWCA Future Leaders Council. She held a position on the Chicago Child Care Society’s Junior Board and the Women Employed Advocacy Council. In 2009, Jamila founded a 501c3 not for profit organization called WOMEN DIVINE. The mission is to effectively impact the lives of young women through academic enhancement, leadership development, financial literacy and cultural enrichment. The vision is to educate, inspire and empower young women to strive for excellence in all areas of their lives. In this capacity, she serves as the President of the Board of Directors. Jamila Thomas is also the CEO of WOMEN DIVINE INSTITUTE, LLC., which is a consulting firm that provides a host of services, such as seminars and workshops to for profit and not for profit organizations as well as personal and professional development for youth and adults. Jamila is married to Brandon Thomas and they have two children; a son, Braylon and a daughter, Jaidence.
