Lacking the fourth volume which was biographical material. Volumes I-III of this four volume set only. Undated, dated using Copac. Edited by music critic and musicologist Ernest Newman as well as conductor, composer and pianist, Sir Landon Ronald. In original full cloth bindings. Externally, generally smart with slight rubbing to the joints and to the head and tail of spines. Further bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of spines. Gift inscriptions to the recto of front endpaper to all volumes. Internally, the binding to all volumes are strained in places, particularly to the first and last few pages.
