The Stormglass Protocol (Paperback or Softback)

Fourteen-year-old Jake had ignored the letters stamped "Highly Confidential" for too long, so they sent him a message he couldn't miss.

With his parents at work and his friends at camp, Jake's summer is stretching into a letdown of legendary proportions. Those two kids on his doorstep, pretending to be teenage secret agents, aren't helping. Nor are the men in dark suits and dark glasses. But the swarms of robot killer bees? They're the worst!

That's when Jake stopped pretending to be a spy. Because the others weren't pretending at all.
